This week we've been learning and making our own free verse poem which is using all types of poetry skills such as alliteration, similes, onomatopoeia and metaphors.

We did one free verse poem on an emotion like proudness the other on we did one a subject of our choice I did mine on insects.

This week we've been learning about onomatopoeia which is when you imitate sound in poems plays and movies. 

Mine was called Going to school  it went like this.

Huh,huh,huh

ten minutes to get to school Clank , Clonk ,Clink ,Clank the sound of shoes on the bitumen 

squirt ,splash ,splish the squirting of the bubblers rattle ,buzz ,clank a baby drops its rattle

bonk I bump my head on the bag racks buzz ,buzz ,buzz my watch alarm goes off its only 8 o'clock. I think its a good poem but I'd improve it by adding more describing words. 

 

Week 1

This week we've been been learning about and making alliteration poems I did mine on frangipanis. 

In maths we've been learning about right angles and fractions. 

Our theme for this term is a network of friends is a networked community and for this we've been doing hands that explain 5 things we do to be a good friend.

Week 7

This week we have been learning about chemical reactions in science we used magnesium and hydrochloric acid to inflate a balloon and then we EXPLODED it and we also learnt that your saliva can dissolve things. On Friday there was a school disco and I won best dressed costume .It was loads of fun !

Week 5

Hi this week we have been learning about fractions and how to divide 5th’s and how you can’t divide a 5th into quarters easily. We have also learnt about different myths - one of the activities was to make a song about a myth and mine sounded really weird!
